Do it yourself backyard work has always been one of my favorite things about spring. Whether I am adding new swing set accessories to my daughter's playground, working in the garden, building myself a tool shed, or doing some other activity, I love the chance to get out into the nice cool, sunny weather and enjoy myself. After being cooped up all winter, who wouldn't? Nonetheless, this year I had an unusually ambitious activity. We needed a new backyard swing set. Apparently, the swing set backyard had had to put up with one too many winters. It was old and decrepit, and it looked so frail that I didn't really trust it to support my daughter. Although it was my first project of the year, I was looking forward to building new backyard swing sets.
Swingset backyard structures are really pretty easy to build. As long as the chain is attached well, the frame is sturdy, and there are no obstacles nearby, a swing set backyard structure can be set up by barely virtually anyone. This year, however, I wanted to make something special. My daughter has always wanted a tree swings, so I decided to start with that. After all, it was easier than setting up the whole swing set backyard frame all at once. Instead of a normal tire swing like most people use, I decided to make something deluxe. I had a seat attached to the rope, one that she and a friend could comfortably sit on together. It looked good, and it gave me the confidence to go onto the next project. Apparently, I haven't lost my touch.
Building the wood swing set backyard was quite a bit harder. You see, I don't like to use kits. It isn't so much that I don't believe that they are well made or that I think that I can do it better, as that I enjoy the experience of measuring, planning, and executing a project all on my own. Efficiency is not my goal – fun is. I decided to make the backyard swings out of a modular design. That way, I could build them over weeks, finishing one part and then getting to work on the next will my daughter played on what I had already created. It was actually the middle of the summer by the time I finished the whole swing set backyard, but she didn't mind and neither did I. It was so much fun to build!

There's Great Fun in Face Painting on Kids!
Face painting is an art that can be undertaken by anyone, amateur or professional. It's a fun way to entertain your children on a boring afternoon. Rain or shine, you can bring smiles and laughter with this simple entertainment. If you're brave - and you know your kids best - you can even allow them to paint each other!
High school teens have enjoyed painting faces for pep rallies for quite some time. They paint their mascot paws, team logos or names, school names and colors on their faces for both fun and fundraising. It's an easy way to earn money for the junior prom, senior class or an upcoming class trip. They set up booths at local arts and crafts shows, midnight madness sales, and during special school functions. Low prices keep the student customers coming back, along with their friends.
Face painting is also used as a way to earn money for special needs, such as a charity event. It can help fund an account for someone hurt in an accident or give financial support to someone who has a chronic illness, such as a heart condition, cancer, or multiple sclerosis.

Encourage Real World Hobbies for Kids
Although computers and technology are a wonderful development in the modern world, many parents wonder if the virtual world endangers their children's natural social development. This is a legitimate worry. Some kids spend all of their spare time finding entertainment on the web, playing video games and chatting with online friends. Kids must also engage in real world activities in order to develop well rounded social skills. Parents often have a difficult time convincing kids that this is true. Here are some ways you can pry the kids away from the computer without any objections on their part.
Whether kids will admit it or not, all kids like fun in the company of other kids their own age. The trick to encouraging hobbies for kids that they'll beg you to let them do is to allow them to lead you to the activities they enjoy. For example, if your child has been invited by a friend to an ice skating party and your child wants to go, make every effort to accommodate the request. If you need to drive them, make the time to do so. This may become a weekly activity which provides healthy exercise,...
